The Senior Organizational Change Management (OCM) Lead will drive enterprise-wide transformation and organizational maturity for our Randstad client in the DC area, leveraging deep expertise in change methodologies like Prosci's ADKAR and Kotter, combined with fluency in Agile (SAFe) and Waterfall environments. This strategic role is responsible for ensuring successful adoption of critical initiatives by designing, implementing, and measuring comprehensive OCM strategies, including managing change on complex projects, establishing a Community of Practice, and developing targeted communication and enablement plans. The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative servant leader with proven analytical and facilitation skills, capable of influencing and articulating change messages to all audiences, including the C-suite, to accelerate user adoption and deliver sustained organizational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Change Strategy & Execution: Lead the design and implementation of holistic OCM strategies and plans for complex, enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, utilizing models such as ADKAR and Kotter.
Methodology Integration: Effectively manage and deliver change for projects utilizing mixed methodologies, specifically Lean Agile (including SAFe PI Planning) and Waterfall approaches.
Stakeholder & Resistance Management: Conduct thorough Change Impact Assessments and Stakeholder/Empathy interviews; create and execute comprehensive Change Resistance and User Adoption Plans.
Communications: Develop and execute strategic communication plans and messaging, ensuring clear articulation of messages to diverse audiences, including senior leadership and C-suite executives.
Enablement & Training: Lead the creation of new hire, onboarding, mentoring, and buddy programs to support the adoption of new systems and processes.
Community of Practice: Establish, manage, and mature an Organizational Change Management (OCM) Community of Practice to foster shared learning and consistent application of best practices across the organization.
Facilitation & Engagement: Lead high-impact engagement activities, including Webinars, User workshops, Lean Coffee, Book Clubs, Podcast hosting, and utilizing collaboration tools (FigJam, Mural, MS Team Whiteboard).
Measurement & Reporting: Design and deploy ADKAR Survey Assessments and define key metrics to monitor change adoption, measure effectiveness, and inform continuous process improvement efforts.
Tool Proficiency: Leverage advanced proficiency in MS Products (SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Word) for OCM deliverables, including managing virtual engagement tools (breakout rooms, polling, surveys).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Experience: Proven track record in a dedicated Change Management role, driving organizational improvements and leading others through significant enterprise change.
Methodology Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience and proficiency in a major OCM methodology (e.g., Prosci ADKAR, Kotter's 8 Steps).
Agile Proficiency: Proven experience working in Agile/Lean-Agile environments, specifically with SAFe PI Planning, JIRA, and Confluence.
Certifications: Active certification in a recognized OCM methodology (e.g., Prosci Certified Change Practitioner, Kotter Certified).
Leadership Skills: Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, servant leadership, and relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence at all organizational levels.
Communication: Exceptional ability to clearly articulate complex messages and interact effectively with C-suite and senior stakeholders.
Analytical Skills: Proven analytical and critical thinking skills for conducting assessments and measuring OCM effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications
SAFe Certification: SAFe certification (e.g., SAFe Agilist, SAFe Practitioner, Release Train Engineer (RTE), or SAFe Coach).
Location Experience: Previous consulting or direct client experience within the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area (DC, MD, VA).
Process Improvement: Experience with continuous process improvement methodologies.
